It has been long time since my last post

Well, I am into singing now.  My range is G1 to C5 (high C), but singable range is about D2 to G4.   I am a bass or dramatic baritone.

At the other end, is it Spring or Autumn? I am hesitating…

Do you think I will come back next Spring? Or just let me rest here until next wild fire.

Where to go?

I am still running

Yes, I am still running 3 times a week; 4 miles each on weekdays and 8 miles on weekend.  I have been on this running schedule since last April.  Normally, I should have been able to run faster, but to the contrary, I am running slower than I did last year.  Last year, I can run 4 miles in 33 to 36 min easily.  But this year, I can only manage 40 min (sometimes even slower) for 4 miles.  I am not sure what have happened to me, but I know it all started when the weather got very cold.  After that, I have never been able to recover to last year’s speed.

Well, I guess I don’t care about speed anymore; I hate running after all.  So running has become just part of my life, a routine, a chore–boring and painful.

Sometimes I do get excited when I come across other runners, especially female runners.  My blood would boil and my pace would quicken because I don’t want to run slower than a female runner.  But the young female runners usually overtook me and left me behind in shame 🙂

My first official half-marathon

The weather is great for running today, overcast, not very windy and cool.  I didn’t feel as tired as when I run alone.  Perhaps, people around me give me great push moving forward.  I tried very hard to pace myself, average heart beat per minute is around 170, pace is 10.02 mile/min.  Official time is 2 hour 11 minutes.

Final dash towards the finishing line

Sea of flowers at People’s Park in Chengdu

I set my camera down close to the earth and it faithfully recorded the thousand shades of red of the sea of flowers in Spring.  Taking a walk through the wonderland of the early Spring in Chengdu, losing the worries of daily life, you will be as fresh as a newly born tomorrow.

The Timeless Alley Way in Chengdu

Walking in the alley, time is frozen and outside world is but a blip in my dream; how intense is my yearning to escape into the timeless tunnel and never return to the earthy dust of the world.

About Obama meeting with Dalai Lama

What if Chinese government says something like this:  "Chinese government encourages President Obama to urge Dalai Lama to return to China and maintain the peace and unification of the great Chinese nation"?  Probably I am not a politician so I can say this leisurely without repercussion.

Now it’s time to emigrate to the USA

Now that the housing price in Beijing and Shanghai have surpassed that in many cities in the USA, it’s time for aspiring Chinese students to put greater effort in mastering the English language and to seek a better life here in the United States. The housing price has to come down or people need to leave for somewhere else for a better life.
